About the Design

Dolphins have been documented playing with pufferfish, passing it between each other. In small doses, the toxin produced by the pufferfish can induce a trance-like-state in the dolphins. This behavior was first documented in BBC’s documentary series “Spy in the Pod”. I illustrated this interaction for glass artist Chadd Lacy, who has been making a new body of work of functional glass pufferfish!
